Acne are common during teenage years. This is the stage where our body produce more hormones and oil causing pimples. For some, this is just a stage that one has to go through, but for some, it is a constant battle for a spot on the face. There are multiple factors for breakouts and pimples. Some causes of pimples are diet, lifestyle, genes, and hormones among others.
But don’t fret! Here are some ways that may help you minimize those critters on your face, and hopefully banish them for good.
KEEP IT CLEAN- washing your face (minimum of twice a day, depending how “dirty” your face is) should be a regular thing. Being in a tropical country, sweating and oiling up is not a new thing. It is best to get rid of the excess oil that may lead to pimples. Don’t over-do it, though. Excess washing and scrubbing may strip off natural protective oils that may cause damage to the skin, which is more harm than good. Stay away from hard scrubbing and opt for soft textured wash cloths to help with your cleaning. Clean your face with warm (not hot) water, and lather up with gentle facial wash, rinse well.
MOISTURIZE- using acne products usually have ingredients that dry up the skin. Help restore your skin’s natural moisture with a mild moisturizer. Opt for ones that are labeled as “noncomedogenic” as these types of products do not clog the pores.
LESS IS MORE- for some, wearing makeup cannot be stayed away from, just make sure to clean up afterwards! Makeup can cause your pores to clog especially the heavier types such as cream and liquid forms; they tend to stick to the skin more. Go for oil-free makeup especially if you’re on the oily side. Stay away from products that are heavily scented as well.
PULL IT BACK! - Our hair can be a culprit as well. Our hair produce its’ natural oil and can be a carrier of dirt, even hair products can cause irritation to your skin as well. Keep your hair off your face as much as possible to clear up your forehead and cheeks from pimples. Hair can block your pores and irritate your skin as well, so pull your hair back and let it stay away from your face.
MIND THE INGREDIENTS- when buying products for acne, look out for Salicylic acid, Tea tree extract, and Allentoin among others. These ingredients effectively help heal, soothe, and diminish your breakouts. Start off with clean hands and do not forget to read the instructions before using any product as these types of product may dry the skin.
Never touch your acne especially with dirty hands/fingers. Maintain a facial care routine. For effective acne-busting products, go to www.ezshop.asia for your total skin care needs.
